Boredom is a funny thing...

So this week has been tirelessly boring, and I mean boring. From having either no work, or just general monotone work, to sitting on my fat ass wondering what to do with my time, this week has dragged on beyond believe.

There are a few things that chirped my interest including -

  1. Getting tickets for Arsenal V. Wigan

  2. Finding Jonny The Monkey on Facebook

  3. Seeing Arsenal destory Slavia Prague 7-0

  4. Getting Transformers on HD DVD

But....there were also things that really wound me up, like the constant stream of losses on Halo, having no work to do and also the fact that I seem to be getting bigger than a baby whale.

Alas one good thing cam of the boredom, these photos! Enjoy!

Its in the Game....

Good morning from the Land of Grevster! Its Wednesday morning and the office is partying hard as usual! The development team are in the full swing of things with some dancing, party games and playing limbo! The implementation team have turned to hard rugs including crack, and the support team have cracked under the enormous pressure of 3 or so customers, and have decided to drown their sorrows, by finding themselves at the bottom of a bottle!

So lives another day at @UK! Or so I wished....

Today started like any other day - Quiet, lame and boring. So...sorry for the lacks of updates again, not much has been going on in my life lately. Went out Saturday night with some mates and ended up getting hammered, Sarah was also out, and we had a good laugh together, one of the rare occasions where I wasn't talking/kissing/hugging some girl, and it would cause a massive ruck, so thats always a bonus!

I got through Knocked Up on HD DVD, so gave that a watch, which was good! I love Judd Apatow's films, and I cannot wait till Superbad comes out!

Was going to play Football on Saturday, but everyone is busy, but at least the League starts this Sunday, so I can try and get rid of this fat, that is sort of chilling out around my midrift! I told him to get a fucking job, but it won't listen, and decides instead to lounge around and make me eat cookies! Fair enough I say! However, when it becomes hard to get out of my seat, I know it time to kick him into touch.

Happy Hunting! Your local neighbourhood Grevster!

The week that was....

Once again I am falling behind on posting, so time to catch up!

Sunday was nice and surprising as my friend Joplin called and said he had a spare ticket to see Reading Vs. Derby, expecting Reading to hammer Derny, I gleefully accepted. The match itself wasn't all that good, Derby played well when in posession, and I think reading let them play too much!

So Sunday went well, and in the evening managed to go to TGI Friday's for dinner, which was yummy! I ate far too much, but I always do, and I love nuturing this ever expanding gut!
Monday welcomed work once again, and my my was it dull! It went just as any other day does, long, boring and shit! Monday nights are always for shopping but tonight was getting me very angry, with a tupid accident causing traffic as far as I could see!
Tuesday bought a whole new live into me, and put my ass into gear for creating my new Forum. Got home from work and began working on it, and still didn't it till Wednesday. it can be found here - http://www.ukspotlight.co.uk/forum.
Happy times!

Headache + Sleep = Happy Grevster

So Sarah came home last night with a rip roaring headache! This gave me the oppurtunity to sit down and churn out most of the Single Player achievements for Halo 3. Almost hit the 100 Gamerscore, which I am quite happy about, as you get this decorative ninja armour, which is swish! Also got a few games in with Russ from work, he was OK, but his Mic echo-ing was really, really annoying!

Retired to bed fairly late, and laid down wondering if I waste alot of my time. I came to the conclusion...YES. But I can't be arsed to do anything about it.

Expect the unexpected...

Yesterday was a sad day, Sarahs Grandad passed away in the early hours of the morning, so I stayed at home and tried to comfort her in any way I could. It was a tiresome and sad day, and although I had only met him once, I always get upset when I see Sarah cry, so it made me upset too. Early afternoon, she managed to get some sleep and she was very worn out, so this gave me some time to reflect on my losses. Last year my nan passed away, and it was a very sad time. She basically bought me up, whilst my mum worked very hard to provide for both me and my brother. It bought back some sad memories, but also some good.

The main thing it made me realise is that I shouldn't take people for granted. Some times it can feel hard work seeing family or friends, and I may want to just shut in. Its when this time has passed you begin regretting. So I think that I need to be kinder and more attentive to those around me, and not take them for granted, as you never know whats around the corner.

That was very philosophical. My head hurts...I need some Tea.

Time moves so slow...

Yesterday was such a drag, although I had things to do, and we did some quite entertaining shenanigans, yesterday just seemed to go on and on. Wayne and I got one with some work whilst inventing Implemenation Month (See Below) and also Flip Dice (A Dice game where it is flipped into the wall and then caught) but none of the these could sitract from the actual fact that time had indeed stopped.

Monday night was as usual uneventful, some shopping, pizza, Halo 3 and then a Film - Hannibal Rising to be exact. And although I had never seen any of the other 'Hannibal' movies, and I was drifting in and out of sleep, it seemed OK, not great, or even good, but OK.

So roll on Tuesday...my most hated weekday, mainly because it seems to go on forever, and is always laden with either no work, too much work, or retarded customers. The morning has gone smoothly with some e-mails to tend to, so onward ho!

Back to Normal..

So Monday comes along so quick, and its back to Work. After having a total of 5 days away, I am so not in the mood to "get up and go". The weekend was uneventful, although I did manage to get Sarah a Birthday Present, and also sort out my Halo 3 Xbox Console, so it'll be ready to play within the next week or so, so am looking forward to that.

Also I managed to view some DIY stuff and getting in the mood for Decorating the Living Room as its looking a bit bland right now, so need some colour to liven things up! Any ideas, send them on a postcard.

And as always I have been Halo-ing things up, and Sarah is already fed up. But alas, I can't stop, its like an addiction that needs feeding, and over the coming weeks, I hope it will get well and truly stuffed! Below you can see my first uploaded Picture to Bungie, a great Sticky!
